Apophis

Apophis may hit Earth on April 13, 2036. asteroid larger than two football fields estimates the odds at around 1 in 250,000 thats better then your chances to win the fl lottery nasa says don't worry How ever they have a back up plan the space agency will construct machinery to change the asteroid's orbit But it's better to be safe than to end up in a situation that resembles a Michael Bay movie.

hitting the Earth in 2036, would release more than 100,000 times the energy released in the nuclear blast over Hiroshima. Thousands of square kilometres would be directly affected by the blast but the whole of the Earth would see the effects of the dust released into the atmosphere. one creating mass extinction, will collide with Earth every hundred million years. We are overdue for a big one.

Space is so big we have only searched about 3% of space so that means there is 97 % of space we have not searched for asteroids the one we never see till its to late can be the one that turns us into the dinosaurs

I watch a number of shows on these things a hobby of mine doing the research, yes we get hit everyday an track them but we have only tracked bout 3%.. Apophis has the best odds of hitting from what we have tracked so far. a possibility remained that during the 2029 close encounter with Earth, Apophis would pass through a gravitational keyhole, a precise region in space no more than about 600 meters across, that would set up a future impact on April 13, 2036. being it passes through the keyhole our grivity will pull it in for impack on 2036  The gravitational keyhole for Apophis is only 2,000 feet (610 m) in diameter. Calculations showed that if Apophis' velocity could be changed by only 0.0001 mph, then in three years its orbit would be deflected by more than a mile, enough to smack the earth  in 2036!

What about thermo nuclear dentonation? answer!
it would break  up into giant chucks an hit the planet in a lot of  locations this is not a tv movie staring bruce willis   meny ppl say that nuclear bombs are  not the answer we must   find ways that we can move it onto another path 2036 is a long way off. But with what tech we have, scientist say we would need 25 years to move a object so if we wait till its its a few years away then that could be a bad thing for the human race.

but it does pass by dec 2012 lol  that's very odd if you believe the 2012 then  it will pass again in 2029 before its best shot to hit in 2036

the recent show  watched stated the west coast would be hit  for about 20 min of 20 story tsunami that would take out most of the west coast.

what to do after the dust settles, who ever is left needs to start the rebuilding from the Svalbard Global Seed Vault (Norwegian: Svalbard globale frøhvelv) is a secure seedbank located on the Norwegian island... of Spitsbergen near the town of Longyearbyen in the remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago, about 1,300 kilometres (810 mi) from the North Pole. The facility preserves a wide variety of plant seeds in an underground cavern. The seeds are duplicate samples, or "spare" copies, of seeds held in genebanks worldwide. The seed vault will provide insurance against the loss of seeds in genebanks, as well as a refuge for seeds in the case of large scale regional or global crises.

The seed depository will store seeds of the crop plants that are most important for food security. Svalbard is an ideal location for this purpose. Owing to the permafrost, the seeds will retain their ability to germinate for a long time, even if electricity supplies fail.

The depository will store genetic copies of seeds that are already being stored in gene depositories elsewhere in the world, thus providing an additional safety net for the world’s food supply. how ever if it has not been cover by water then we would have no means of access.
we can get a closer look early next year December 28, 2012 through January 18, 930,000 miles away On March 16, 2029, Apophis will enter our neck of the woods, beginning its most important encounter with Earth to date.On April 13, 2...029, Apophis will be on our porch, passing by the Earth's surface at a distance of less than 20,000 miles. the name Apophis, which is the Greek name for the Egyptian god Apep. In ancient Egyptian mythology, Apep was a destroyer; an evil god of darkness. Apophis was also the name of an alien in the science fiction series "Stargate SG-1" who was intent on destroying Earth. how fitting it's diameter. Its mass is 27,000 metric tons. Velocity: 3.212 miles/sec
